Check for the household hazardous waste collection day held once a year in our district. Paint & motor oil are the top items collected each year. Please do your part to properly dispose of these after their use. You may dispose of motor oil at automotive stores such as AutoZone. New paint in good condition may be donated to ReStore Habitat for Humanity. Old paint may be disposed of by placing the can in a well ventilated area away from from children and pets and filling the can with cat litter or dirt to soak up the paint. Once dry, you may deposit one can at a time in your trash.
